About

Hello, my name is Ken Rains,

You may be wondering, just what could old Ken know about marriage and counseling? What are his credentials?

Well I must admit that I do not have a university degree and no I do not have a bunch of impressive letters attached to my name. I have what I believe to be far more valuable, the advantage of life’s experiences and this is what I will be passing on to you through this blog.

I have been on this earth for 71 years. I have been married to my wonderful wife Jan for 50 years (celebrated our golden wedding anniversary last month). In those 50 years we have had our ups and downs as do most normal marriages. We have experienced problems, some of them you could put into the major category, but we’ve always worked our way through them resulting in more love for each other and a stronger relationship.

We have five children, all married. They also have their marriage problems. Two of them were even on the brink of divorce, but I am happy to say that with the advice and assistance from Jan and myself they have worked their way through their problems and now all have very happy and loving marriages.

Yes, I do believe that I can speak with some authority!

Maybe you don’t feel that your marriage/relationship problems warrant calling on a Marriage Counselor at this stage. There are two books that I can recommend. You will find that they approach marriage problems and solutions from different angles and are both helpful in their own way. The first, “Saving Your Marriage” is my own (sure I’m biased). In it I pass on some good tips and advice that I guarantee will help. I also give you a very nice book “101 Ways To Say I Love You” as a bonus. I have provided a special discount to readers of this blog. You will get it for just ten dollars. The other book that I can recommend to be very helpful is “The Magic Of Making Up” by T.W. (T-Dub) Jackson. He has already helped save over 6,000 marriages (that was at last count, probably a lot more than that now). I’m sure he can help you too.

I hope you enjoy my articles here on the blog. Although not written by an expert, they are based on experience and come from the heart . I’m sure you will find them helpful.

All the very best.

Ken
